Dan hit the nail on the head with this book by sharing a step by step guidance on changing your mindset when it comes to sales and viewing your business and customers. I think this book is a valuable resource for anybody running their own business. I especially liked Dan’s perspective on generations and I completely agree with it, because that’s what I’m seeing in my business and Clients demographics too. I enjoyed reading about Dan’s background. This book is biographical, and the language sounds genuine and alive, and I wished I could hear him narrate the book. This book provides good insight for both new and tenured travel professionals. If you have been in business for a while, this books serves as a good refresher course of things you should be doing. Even if you only get 1 helpful nugget out of the content it pays for itself. If you are new to the trade, the book lays out a good foundation to follow. It does require you to ask yourself some tough questions and gives you things to think about for your planning. There are plenty of actionable items provided, however, if you are looking for a book to tell you what to do step by step, this isn't it.
I enjoyed reading this book but I felt it still missing some materials that is needed to get the business to next level such as action plans and step by step guiding! All in all it's a good start from an experienced business owner!

Anyone who has ever been a small business owner knows that organizing your business around a vision that you can actually execute a business plan against is a daunting challenge. Dan inspires and instructs travel agents about how to gain focus for a high-growth business.
Travel is a huge market with so many areas to specialize in and tons of information to sift through. Dan's book asks the basic questions you need to answer as you embark on your career. It will benefit both the seasoned travel advisor or someone new to the business providing a blueprint on how to do it right. As a sales/business coach myself, this is a must-have in any library!
Reading Dan's book is very motivational, and a great boost. If you are trying to get to the next level, this is a must read. And his story is not just for travel agents, but for anyone trying to be a better business person.
