So far I've found 10 pages that have been ripped out but they are in their place in the book, just not attached to the book itself. Kind of annoyed considering the review of the product said that it was in good condition, and mentioned nothing about that damage. The book came in about 5 days which was fine but seriously, check your product before writing that its it above average condition.
I was not a fan of this lab textbook. We used it for class, and no one in my class got good results from the way the textbook wrote the procedures. I was so frustrated, because nothing worked out how it explained in the procedure, and my yields were either ridiculously low or ridiculously high (as in 200% or more). The rest of my classmates also ended up with very bad yields too and we all dreaded lab because it's ridiculous to spend 3 hours working on a experiment that doesn't yield any workable results. I felt like it was a waste of my time because I learned nothing from doing the labs. Thank god, the lecture portion of organic chem was a breeze though, so at least I learned there and that made up for the confusing lab.
Product arrived on time and in great condition! I cannot believe how quickly I received it (thank god too). I was really pleased with this product and would recommend it to my closest friends! Very clearly written and easy to follow even when the class is so dang hard to get through.
Good condition
It wasn’t the right edition but in great condition. Only giving it four stars for not staying it was the 1st edition.
This is my third organic chemistry class, and this is a fairly good book. I like how concisely it is written, and how it begins with lab safety, glassware cleaning, important techniques, etc.I feel the book lacks a more complete appendix with equations and pages concerning ways to assess infrared and NMR spectra.
Great book, I still use it to this day
This book was required by my college class, and we utilized it a few times. If I had the choice, I would have most likely picked something else, though.
