About the Author
Ole Risom (1920-2000) was one of the most influential publishers of mass-market books for children. He was vice president and art director of Golden Books at Western Publishing Company from 1952-1972, and then vice president and associate publisher of the juvenile division of Random House from 1972-1990. He worked closely with his good friend Richard Scarry over the years at both houses. He also worked with Dr. Seuss, Jim Henson, Stan and Jan Berenstain, Leo Lionni, Laurent de Brunhoff, Charles M. Schulz, and Marc Brown.J. P. Miller (1913-2001) illustrated many Golden Book titles from the 1940s through the 1970s, some written by Margaret Wise Brown and Edith Kunhardt. Before becoming a children's book illustrator, Miller had worked in the Walt Disney Studio's elite character modeling department, creating characters (such as the dwarf Dopey) for Disney's first feature film, Snow White. He later designed the character of the toy maker Geppetto for Pinocchio.

Precious book; it's a keeper. I bought this book as a gift for my first great granddaughter. I have other books by the same author-- that I read to my son and to my 4 grandchildren. Highly recommend. These books are perfect for bedtime or nap time reading and are keepers.
We have always enjoyed I Am A Bunny, so I was so excited when I saw this book. And it is just as lovely. Simple text. Beautiful, detailed pictures that I can talk about with my son. It will be a favorite for sure.
Actually our one year old grandson, his parents , and both of his grandparents love this book! The drawings are lovely and they are appealing to a baby plus the book is sturdy!
I brought this because my son love I am a bunny so much. This one is a little bit more difficult. The sentence is longer and vocabulary is harder. The picture is very beautiful.
My 2 year-old daughter fell in love with this book from the first reading. We read it before bed every night and she gets so excited to spend time with “Dee Dee†(the little mouse). The drawings are beautiful — every page has so many details to look at and talk about — and the story is very sweet. We just love this book!
My kids love this book and have it memorized at this point!
Very cute story. And great illustrations, just as expected. We have already owned the I am a bunny book, and my to preschoolers love both books! I love the details in the pictures, and so do my children.
