Muuss has 37 years of experience in security, investigation, and law enforcement. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS) and has published numerous articles on security and investigative subjects. I would not rely on this book as your only source for CPP exam prep, but the book did help me quite a bit. Everyone is looking for a shortcut and I have to report, there aren't any. There really is no substitute for reading the POA manual. Flash cards are helpful to supplement the reading. I would say this about the book, reading it after studying the POA manual helps to reinforce in summary fashion, the concepts presented. The self-exams are only helpful in demonstrating your comprehension of the subject matter of the book. The real exam test questions are not phrased the same way. It's better than not practicing at all. Is the book worth the money? Ask yourself this... how bad do you want to pass the exam? I'm glad I bought it and yes, I passed the exam with flying colors.
I just took the CPP exam today and this was the only 1 of 2 items I used to prepare for it. It takes everything from the thousands of pages from the ASIS manuals and put the most important parts into this book which is all you will need for the test! I HIGHLY recommend you study the chapters on lighting (especially the types of lights) and the chapter on alarm systems/locks. This book was perfect for the CPP exam.
Security management is most critical and most exam questions from. But to my big surprise, the book intentionally miss test questions of this part. If it is possible to have security management part test questions send to my email box, it would be very helpful. I really want this part test quesitons as reference for preparing the exam.Thanks
Quite pertinent reference material with a very wide and broad coverage of the CPP topic. Although I am yet to sit for the exam, I am more than convinced the guide has prepared me and all other aspiring protection professionals in a great way.

Seems very good so far, BUT, page 168 has an error. FAR and FRR is wrong. Low FAR increases security.
