When are Books 5, 6, 7...coming?? :-) My 8 year old has devoured every installment and is hungry for more. Reading is no longer a chore - it is a delight - and his appetite is growing voraciously. Bravo and PLEASE keep them coming.
We bought the initial book in the HiLo series for our second-grader at the recommendation of our local librarian. My son has become obsessed with reading each book and is currently re-reading Hilo Book 4: Waking Monsters. We pre-ordered Hilo Book 5: Then Everything went Wrong from Amazon which is expected ship at the end of this month. The reader is set in comic strip form with a series of boxes and short lines of dialogue on each page. The story is interesting, the writing is slick, and the humor reaches kids an adults alike. Having my son read this to me and point out the humorous parts has become a great way for us to do the thing that we both love together--READING.
Purchased as Christmas gift for grandson who requested #4 and #5. Book 5 is expected in February 2019. He began reading Hilo books at age 10. As it has been difficult to get him to read, Hilo books have been helpful.
My students wear these books out. A classroom favorite for 4th graders! Buy the whole series!
I FINALLY found a book that my 9 year old grandson loves. He actually read it for pleasure! My daughter was thrilled at his new found love of reading. Until now, we have had to sit with him to get him to read. We immediately purchased the entire line of these.

The fact that there were more characters made it not that great, and the huge cliffhanger at the end and i am reviewing on a kindle so i have to put down twenty words in a review
