Being a person who does a lot of embroidery, finishing the project is very important to me. Framing can be very expensive, but the cost can be reduced and the quality can be improved by reading this book. There is a newer reference from the framers association available. I have not read it yet. This book was very helpful to me. I read it cover to cover the first week I had it.
I do alot of needlework for framing and did not know so much consideration needed to be given regarding framing of such items. While much was brought to the attention of the reader, there was not much meat/indept/enough instructions provided on all areas. I think the author assumes the reader is more versed on the processes involved than a complete beginner.
Very informative - good diagrams, instructions & commentary. Covers cleaning, blocking & repairing as well as detailed information on various mounting methods & what type of project would be suitable for each method.
