I used this chemistry book and the CLEP biology book from STP. My friend used both and she recommended them to me. Both are excellent prep for the CLEP exam. Loaded with great content and solutions have many valuable pointers on how to solve problems and the book provides great information to prepare for CLEP. Highly recommend these books. My scores were great and I needed to prepare so I would be sure to do well on test day, it worked.
I passed my exam by about 10 points, I was scoring a little better than 50% on the practice tests. I felt like I got a decent amount of questions that were my strong point, and I had a few lucky guesses on the day of the CLEP. If you are scoring less than a 50% on the practice I would not recommend sitting for the exam.This book is not great for actually learning any material, it is just practice problems.Focus on what you don't know!
I got the score I needed for the CLEP chemistry exam. This book was great for me to use to prep for the exam. A few friends used this and other books. I found this the most helpful and the results were great. Recommend this book to study for the CLEP chemistry exam. The explanations helped me understand the material. I like that the questions in the book are separated by topics and each topic has a separate chapter. I was able to save time by focusing on what topics I needed to practice.
Chemistry is probably on of the hardest CLEP tests out there. This book has more challenging questions than on the test but the content is similar. If you can master these questions you are more than ready to pass the chem CLEP. Good luck!
