This book covered all the topics I needed to know about and then some, with just the right amount of detail and to the point information. A quick read and organized by the steps I needed to take as I approach the big day. Lots of good insider tips and information from the author, who obviously has a lot of experience tackling the myriad of things we have to plan for in our role as Mother of the bride.
I purchased this book because my daughter recently became engaged and we are trying to plan the wedding by the end of the year. It took me about an hour to read/skim this book. There isn't anything in here that you do not already now. Also, it is pretty much outdated. In 2019 etiquette is much more relaxed and parents are assuming more financial responsibility by contributing as needed for the wedding and other associated activities such as the bridal shower.
This book provides a good amount of information, but isn't exactly what I was looking for. I'd like a book that serves more as a workbook with checklists.
I hardly ever used it. Brides have their own ideas, and the best thing a mom can do is just support their daughter's plans. Weddings have changed a LOT since we moms were married.
Purchased this as a gift for my mom and she loves it! There is a ton of great information in it though some is a bit dated. MOST of it is relevant and includes a lot of detail around Wedding etiquette, who pays for what and all of those tiny details you never thought of prior to planning a Wedding. I would definitely recommend as a great gift idea for any MOB.
Absolutely nothing new here. I was very disappointed. Buy "A Practical Wedding" by Meg Keene instead.
This book provides needed info for moms involved in planning a wedding. It would be especially helpful to those planning a large a wedding.
Great book especially if you read nothing else than it isn't your wedding let the couple plan it.
